*** COUNTDOWN TO HEBREW HOLY DAY FEASTS ***
Chanukah ~ 25th of Kislev, 5767 = December 15, 2006 @ sundown

I'm interested in the Hebrew Calendar and Holy Day Feasts and how they relate to our current Gregorian Calendar so I've gathered some resources to share with you. Above are javascripts found on the web. The top one generates our date, and then below that the Hebrew date is generated. The java applet in the black box will be updated periodically to *countdown* the main Hebrew Holy Day Feasts.

Below is a table of the Holy Day Feasts and how Jesus Christ has or will fulfill them in a prophetic sense. It is believed that the spring feast days, shown in pink, foretold of and were fulfilled by Jesus' first coming! While His second coming is represented by the fall feast days, shown in blue. Here they are in a nutshell, the last four in the prophetic sense are *supposed* (or guesses) as to their *meaning* since they obviously have not occured yet.

Passover

Jesus' death
1 Cor 5:6-7

Unleavened Bread Jesus' burial
1 Cor 5:7-8
Firstfruits Jesus' resurrection
1 Cor 15:20-21

Pentecost

Jesus' sends the Holy Spirit
Acts 2:1-4
Trumpets Jesus' second coming!
Day of Atonement Jesus resurrects believers (dead in Christ first, then those who are alive and remain ~ at-one-ment (with))!
Tabernacles Jesus, with His saints, rules for 1,000 years on earth!
Last Great Day Jesus' Great White Throne Judgement!
The Holy Day Feasts for our Gregorian Calendar from 2007 through 2016 are as follows, with pink again representing the spring feasts and blue representing the fall feasts. This is not a list of all the Holy Days or Feast Days, it's just a list of the HIGH Holy Feast/Days. I am NOT sure these dates are exact, I suggest you verify with more reliable JEWISH resources found on the web (see links at bottom of page). These are *information only* and will be corrected if/when errors are found or pointed out by someone with more knowledge than I! 2007 includes the Hebrew/Jewish equivalent dates below the Gregorian dates.

Hebrew HIGH Holy (Feast) Days and names of feasts are below, with scripture references as to where they are found in the Bible. I've included the Sabbath below as it's one of the most important days of all and is as pertinent for us today as the day it was santified, we will be observing all of these HIGH Holy Days in the new kingdom to come! You can look up verses at BlueLetterBible.org.

Weekly Day of Rest:
Leviticus 23:1-3

Hebrew Word

Sabbath ~ (7th day of the week, our Saturday, beginning from sundown on Friday eve and ending Saturday at sundown. "Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day [is] the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work [therein]: it [is] the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings." See also Gen 2:2-3, Exo 20:10-11, Exo 23:12, and Lev 23:3.) Shabbat
Holy Day Feasts:
Leviticus 23:4-44

Passover ~ ("In the fourteenth [day] of the first month at even [is] the LORD'S passover." This commemorates the evening when the Lord *passed over* the children of Israel, but all of the first born of Egypt died by decree of the Pharoah against the Jews. See also Exo 6:6-8; Exo 12:26-27 and Lev 23:5.) Pesach
Unleavened Bread ~ (a continuation of the Passover, yet it's own observance. See also Exo 13:3-8 and Lev 23:6-8.) Pesach
Firstfruits ~ (aka: Feast of Weeks or Feast of Harvest, Pentecost in Greek ~ begins this feast. All of the first born males of man and beast, as well as first harvest of the land were dedicated to the LORD. See Lev 23:9-22.) Shavuot
Trumpets ~ (This is the Jewish New Year and marks the beginning of a 10 day holiday. See Lev 23:23-25. We believers are waiting on the last trumpet, harolding the Lord's return (2nd coming) and our resurrection! 1Cr 15:52 "In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed." and Rev 11:15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become [the kingdoms] of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.) Rosh Hashanah
Atonement ~ (aka: the Day of Atonement, the Day of Judgment, and the Sabbath of Sabbaths and the Day of Redemption. This is the day that God judges the people of Israel and atonement (at-one-ment or at-one-with) for their sins is made. It is the 10th and last day of the Feast of Trumpets. See Lev 23:26-32.) Yom Kippur

Tabernacles ~ (aka: Feast of Ingathering, Feast of Booths, and is observed as a remembrance of Israel's dwelling in tents in the wilderness for 40 years. See also Lev 23:33-36. This feast will be observed forever! See Zec 14:17.)

Succoth
Last Great Day ~ (the eighth (final) day of the Feast of Tabernacles. See also Lev 23:36.) Succoth
